UETDRRF004 Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel & HLTAID009 Provide CPR Training

CSS offers the Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainments (UETDRRF004) Low Voltage Rescue and (HLTAID009) Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.  These Units of Competency have been combined into a comprehensive 4 hour training session so that, upon completion, students are competent to both perform a rescue from a live LV panel and deliver CPR procedures to any rescued parties.

The Low Voltage Rescue component covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the work place. It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

The CPR component  describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Prerequisite

The HLTAID009 Provide CPR Unit is a pre-requisite to the Low Voltage Rescue Unit.

Assessment
Participants will be assessed via questionnaire and practical demonstration of skills. Participants with literacy/numeracy difficulties or physical conditions should speak with the Trainer to discuss alternative assessment approaches.

Qualification
On successful completion, each participant will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment listing both Units of Competency.

Frequency of Training

Public Sessions are held at 37 Crescent Road Waratah NSW 2298. Private sessions can be held for groups of 4 or more.
