Combined Safety Services

CSS is a Registered Training Organisation located in Newcastle that prioritizes customer service and flexibility. They have collaborated with local industries to develop the Control Workplace Emergencies course. This course is designed to be easy to comprehend and engaging for students while meeting the rapidly changing industry requirements. It is a combination of Nationally Accredited Units of Competency.

The Control Workplace Emergencies course aims to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to make critical decisions regarding the safety of occupants during a facility emergency. It also aims to prepare them to instruct others on the priority order for responding to an emergency incident in the workplace.

Participants can choose to enrol in one or more units of competency offered by the course. It is important to note that participants who enrol in the Chief Warden unit MUST complete the Warden unit PUAFER005 'Operate as part of an emergency control organization' as a prerequisite to this course.

The program aims to develop individuals' ability to carry out various roles in an emergency control organization, such as preparing facility emergency procedures, reporting potential emergencies, evaluating the need for evacuation, preparing for evacuation, and assisting those who require help per the facility emergency procedures. The course also emphasizes promoting fire safety awareness and providing basic fire training to reduce the risk of fire.

Chief Warden course participants will learn how to lead the preparation of facility emergency response procedures, command, control, and coordinate facility emergency responses, and conclude facility emergency incidents. They may also act as primary liaisons with emergency services after their arrival.

The knowledge and skills gained from completing this program can be applied across all industries
